How to – the neon, green, yellow eye look // The Petite Damsel

Hello my angels,

How is the summer weather treating you? For me, this weather is too hot. Where is the rain?

Weather aside, summer calls for fun, bold, bright makeup looks. This summer I decided to try a few bold-er eye makeup looks. I have a weakness for pretty shades of eye-shadows. I’m building my eye-shadow palette collection currently. There are so many good ones to choose from! It is not easy!

Currently, I’m really into greens, yellows, oranges and pinks for my eye-makeup choices. Here are a few that I loved while creating them and how they turned out 🙂

To participate the celebration of Pride month, I tried this fun, bright and bold eye makeup look. I used neon pinks, orange, peach, yellow, purple, green and blue.

Here’s how I did: First, applied concealer evenly all over my eye lid, followed by a white eye pencil. This helped the colors pop and stay true to their shades. I started applied a peach color on my crease and blended, that was my transition color. Then I added the bright neon pink, followed by neon orange. On the outer wing, I blended peach again. The key here is to build the colors slowly and blend very well. I blended the colors like my life depended on it. LOL.
After completing my upper eye lid, I started working with yellow to green to blue to purple on my lower eye lid.
To finish it off, I added black eye liner, curled my ‘barely there’ lashes and applied a coat of mascara.
Some fluffy falsies would’ve looked even nicer, however I have been facing some eye issues, so my Opthal doctor recommends not to use falsies, at the moment.
I applied a orange toned lipstick to compliment the eye-look. You could go for nude lip too.

Products I used are listed below, along with products you could use instead.

Ah, creating this green-eye makeup was so fun too! This is less hard-work and more wearable. I wore it to a cafe and received compliments!

Again, apply concealer or an eye-shadow base. Take your green shade eye shadow and pack it on the center of eye lid. Take a clean blending brush and start blending outwards and into the crease. Then, take a light shade of green and blend on the outer edges for seamless transition. Blend it on the lower lid as well. Apply a shimmery light green on the inner corners of the eyes. Voila! Easy?

💚

This one is bronze in the eye with touch of yellow in the center and inner corners. I used the bronzer for my face on my eye-lids too! I added yellow shades in center of the lid and blended it to transition into the bronze. Then, added champagne-y shimmer in my inner corners of the eyes and brow bones. Lastly, winged the look with black liquid eye liner.
